Over 11,000 workers are currently being randomly selected for
testing through this service. Utilizing the web based program,
www.randomselection.com, your paperwork is minimized, security is
assured and DOT compliance is a given. Should you be audited by the
FMCSA, or state motor carrier enforcement agencies, a complete audit
package is available on line. Either by mail or on the web RSS
members update the list once
a month and are notified of employee selection by US mail or email. There is a
one-time start-up fee and a monthly maintenance fee based on the
total number of employees in the pool. DOT and NonDOT pools are
available.
Selection Steps:
Employers update their pool roster by simply logging on to
www.randomselection.com to add new employees and delete former
employees.
Random Selection Services creates a selection list for each
employer six times a year.
Employers are notified of the random selections by US mail or
email.
Employer notifies employee(s) of the testing event on the day of
testing. Once notified, the employee must stop work and proceed
immediately to a collection site for testing.
Upon
receipt of the MRO/Lab result, the Employer logs on to
www.randomselection.com to update the selection.
Drug
Testing Pools:
Clients may set up pools in the following manner:
DOT General Pool – DOT employees are in a combined large
pool of other DOT employees.
DOT Specific Pool – DOT employees are in a company specific
pool.
NonDOT General Pool – NonDOT employees are in a combined
large pool of other NDOT employees. We offer 3 combined NonDOT pools with the following selection
rates:
· 50% Drug testing only (no alcohol)
· 50% Drug testing / 25% Alcohol Testing
· 25% Drug testing only (no alcohol)
NonDOT Specific Pool – Employees are in a company specific
pool (must have a minimum of 24 employees) and employer sets the
pick rate for either drugs and/or alcohol.
Return to Duty/Follow Up Testing Pool – Employees with a
previous positive are selected for a minimum of six tests per
year.
